Bob Marshall Celebrated for 50 Years as a Lion

It was by far the best meeting of the year, as over 80 Lions and guests attended the celebration of Lion Bob Marshall’s 50 years of Lionism on Feb. 21 at 16 Mile House in Millbrae.

Nearly all of Bob’s family, a number of Marshall Realty employees and Lions from over 10 local clubs applauded and laughed as a host of fellow members praised and roasted the senior member of our Lions district.

Past District Governor Mel Phillips emceed the event and called on “roasters” Lions Don Stanaway, Jack Coates, Rick Rolfes, Isaac Mejia and Harry Costa.

The roasting was light and the praise and admiration was high.

Resolutions and proclamations were awarded by Assemblyman Jerry Hill, Mayor Jim Ruane, District Governor Esther Lee and Lions International President Wing-Kun Tam.
