Caltrain Transit police, working around the clock, have developed some significant leads in the Friday and investigators are beginning efforts to locate people of interest in the case, a Caltrain spokeswoman said today.
The investigation is continuing at a "very energetic pace," Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn said in a news release. However, "We cannot release more information at this time without risking compromising the investigation."
The victim has made slight improvement but remains in critical condition.

"We continue to remain optimistic that those responsible will be brought to justice, and we will work tirelessly toward that goal," Dunn said. "Caltrain is committed to ensuring that the rail system, including the stations, is safe for our customers."
There are no Caltrain surveillance cameras at the Redwood City station.
