Caltrain to Shut Down Streets for Grade Separation Work

Beginning July 13, there will be a series of temporary road closures in San Bruno to allow for the placement of steel bridge structures above the vehicle underpass. The structures are part of the San Bruno Grade Separation Project, which will elevate the train tracks above San Bruno, San Mateo and Angus avenues.

9 p.m. Friday, July 13, to 6 a.m. Saturday, July 14

9 p.m. Saturday, July 14, to 6 a.m. Sunday, July 15

San Mateo Avenue between Huntington and 1^st avenues

9 p.m. Friday, July 20, to 6 a.m. Saturday, July 21

9 p.m. Saturday, July 21, to 6 a.m. Sunday, July 22

Angus Avenue between Huntington and 1^st avenues

9 p.m. Friday, July 27, to 6 a.m. Saturday, July 28

9 p.m. Saturday, July 28, to 6 a.m. Sunday, July 29 

Detour signs will be posted in the area to help direct traffic. All work will be done in accordance with Caltrain and city agreements and ordinances.   

The $147 million grade separation project includes a new elevated train station between San Bruno and San Mateo avenues will replace the existing station. The project also includes three pedestrian underpasses, one near Sylvan Avenue, one at the new station and another between Euclid Avenue and Walnut Street.
