Grade Separation Update: Concrete Work to Continue at San Bruno, San Mateo Avenues

Work will take place during the week, Sunday, Jan. 22 to Friday, Jan. 27.

Day work will take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. This work will include asphalt and concrete work at the San Bruno and San Mateo avenues intersection, track work, and sanitary sewer relocations. Motorists should expect delays. Relocation of sanitary sewers will primarily occur at Angus Avenue and may require temporary lane closures. Traffic cones and flaggers will direct motorists and pedestrians around the affected areas.

Night work will take place from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m., outside of peak passenger service hours. This work will include grading, track and signal work. Digging work will require the use of a backhoe, mini-excavator and jackhammer. At times, noise levels could be as high as 75 decibels. Crews will use generators to power portable light towers. Night work will be done in accordance with Caltrain and city agreements and ordinances.
