Grade Separation Update: Final Prep Begins to Move Trains to Shoofly

Work will continue round the clock as crews make final preparations to move trains to temporary train tracks the weekend of Jan. 14 - 15.

From Wednesday, Jan. 11 to Wednesday, Jan 18, streets around the construction site will be closed to allow for the final construction of temporary train tracks. Trains will use these temporary tracks, known as a “shoofly” in railroad terminology, during the construction of the grade separation.
