Sawyer Camp Trail One-Day Closure on Thursday

This is an advisory notice from the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and the Hetch Hetchy Regional Water System, being sent through the SMC Alert to communities that may be effected by the closure.

Sawyer Camp Trail will be closed for one day on Thursday, September 22nd. The entire 6-mile trail, which runs from San Bruno to Woodside, will be closed as construction crews work on the water pipeline adjacent to the trail. The trail will reopen on Friday.

The work is part of the Crystal Springs/San Andreas Transmission System Upgrade that continues through 2013. For more information, visit www.sfwater.org/SCT, follow on Twitter or call the 24-hour line at 866-973-1476.

Sawyer Camp Trail is normally open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day. Please do not enter the trail after hours…you will encounter an active construction zone! In order to keep the trail open as much as possible during the Crystal Springs/San Andreas Transmission System Upgrade, work is routinely scheduled very early in the morning and after hours.
