SocialShield Honored for Improving Internet Safety for Kids

SocialShield, a San Bruno-based company that monitors kids' online social networking activities, has received special recognition from two congressmembers for their work in improving Internet safety for children, the company recently announced.

Reps. John Campbell, R-Irvine, and Loretta Sanchez, D-Santa Ana, both honored SocialShield with a Certificate of Congressional Recognition in August.

"We are thrilled that our efforts are regarded as innovative and effective," said co-founder Noah Kindler. "This is such an important and constantly evolving issue for parents of pre-teens and young teens and it's exciting to know that our efforts are recognized by Congress. Our company strives for excellence and provides a unique resource for parents seeking to keep their children safe online."
