SocialShield Selected to Dow Jones VentureWire's FASTech 50 List of Most Innovative Start-Ups

SocialShield, a San Bruno-based company that monitors kids' online social networking activities, has been selected to VentureWire's FASTech 50 list of the country's most innovative start-ups. SocialShield was selected from among 2,000 nominated companies by Dow Jones VentureWire editors and an advisory board of seasoned venture capitalists.
The FASTech 50 represents the most innovative start-ups across the technology industry that are developing data storage, cloud, social media, Web, software, healthcare and other technologies for consumers and enterprises. Last year's winners scored nearly $1 billion in deal flow and liquidity.
"Venture capitalists are always searching for start-ups that are developing truly original technology with the potential to transform the marketplace," said Scott Austin, editor of Dow Jones VentureWire. "The FASTech 50 cuts through the clutter of me-too start-ups to highlight companies developing the most innovative and investment-worthy technologies."
