San Bruno Police Log, Feb. 10-13: Auto Burglaries, Transients Starting Bon Fire, and Suspicious Man Asking For Prayer and Then Money

A sampling of incidents reported to the San Bruno Police Department from Feb. 10-13.

Feb. 10

7:28am. Police received a report of an auto burglary on the 700 block of Mills Avenue in which a window was smashed and a door opened on a green 1995 Dodge Caravan. The loss was unknown.

11:15am. Police received a report of an auto burglary on the 700 block of Masson Avenue in which the driver's side window was smashed on a black Honda Accord.

2:05pm. Police received a call from a resident on the 1600 block of Hickory Avenue who said someone fraudulently used the person's name and Social Security number to obtain a $1,000 loan. The fraudulent act resulted in the resident receiving a call from a collection agency.

5:41pm. A 16-year-old boy was seen writing graffiti on a telephone box near Mastick and Sylvan avenues.

8:02pm. Police received a report of an auto burglary on the 2200 block of Princeton Drive in which a passenger door lock was punched on a teal 1994 Ford Ranger. The loss was unknown.

Feb. 11

11:03pm. Police received a report of a group of homeless males who started a large bon fire on the 300 block of Forest Lane.

Feb. 12

9:25am. Police received a report of vandalism on the 900 block of Huntington Avenue in which the passenger's side rear window was smashed on a red Honda Accord.

Sometime between 11:24am and 1:02pm, graffiti was spotted on a fence at the end of a municipal parking lot near Mastick and Sylvan avenues.

3:30pm. Police received a report of vandalism on the 600 block of Santa Lucia Avenue in which the front tires were slashed on a silver Honda Civic.

Feb. 13

8:54am. The silent duress alarm was set off at the 4-H Club farm.

1:13pm. A store employee on the 1100 block of El Camino Real was approached by a man asking the employee to outside with him to pray. After they prayed, the man suspiciously asked the employee for money.
