Xbox Thief Horny Faces Justice

Federico Charles Horny, a parolee from San Bruno, is accused of stealing electronics.

Court proceedings began Friday morning for Federico Charles Horny, a parolee from San Bruno who is accused of stealing an Xbox and a camera in April.

This past spring, a man was leaving his home and saw Horny, 31, parked outside. The man's ex-wife used to date Horny, so they had a brief conversation and the man left.

According to San Mateo County District Attorney's Office notes, when the man returned home several hours later, the house had been broken into and electronics, including an Xbox and a camera, were missing.

A week later, at 7:30 a.m., Horny returned to the home and a neighbor heard him lurking and called the police, who found the missing electronics in Horny's Toyota pick-up truck.

Horny's preliminary hearing was set for Friday at 9 a.m. He entered a not guilty plea in May and is being held on $50,000 bail and has been charged with felony burglary.
