3 Teens Arrested, Stolen Car Recovered In San Carlos

Investigators allege three teens from Belmont and Daly City stole a car in Redwood City and traveled to San Carlos.

SAN CARLOS, CA — Three teens were arrested over the weekend after investigators allege they were inside a car that was stolen in Redwood City and recovered in San Carlos.

According to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, an automated license plate reader alerted deputies to a stolen car driving near Alameda de las Pulgus and Eaton Avenue around 10:45 a.m. Saturday.

Deputies found the car a few blocks away and pulled over the driver.

Investigators said three juveniles from Belmont and Daly City were inside the vehicle and arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle before being released to their parents.

According to the sheriff's office, the car's rightful owner met with deputies at the scene and thanked them for returning the car.
