Caltrain Suffers System-Wide 'Brown Out'
Passengers saw some major delays Wednesday morning.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A system-wide outage hit Caltrain Wednesday morning, disrupting service throughout the Peninsula. The issue, called a brown out, began at 8:04 a.m. and service was restored around 9 a.m., according to Caltrain Spokesman Dan Lieberman.
Delays of up to 68 minutes were reported at 9:57 a.m.
Caltrain officials apologized to customers on Twitter, calling the situation an "unprecedented scenario."
