SAN CARLOS, CA -- A homeless man from San Francisco was arrested Friday in San Carlos for allegedly being in possession of stolen property. The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office said Caleb Bodine, 25, was arrested after he was approached by deputies around 7:05 a.m. in the 1800 block of San Carlos Avenue.

A records check of Bodine’s personal information revealed that he was on probation for petty theft. A subsequent probation search was done and Bodine was found to have 11 pairs of sunglasses, hypodermic needles, a meth pipe, a window punch, a hammer, nunchaku as well as with other items in possession, officials said.

Later that same morning, at approximately 9:15 am, a resident reported her pair of sunglasses were
missing from her vehicle along with other items. Deputies were dispatched to her residence and in
speaking with the victim, she described multiples items that Bodine was found to be in possession of
earlier that day. The deputies were able to return the victim’s property to her, officials said.
