New SCSD School Lunch Provider Makes Ordering a Piece of Cake
When students in the San Carlos School District start the new year next Wednesday, they will enjoy healthy school lunches by a new vendor, The Lunch Master.
A local food company dedicated to serving healthy meals prepared daily from scratch will be providing kids' lunches in the San Carlos School District this school year. The Lunch Master was selected last spring as the district's new lunch provider.
According to the district's website, The Lunch Master adheres to the National School Lunch Program guidelines using the finest all natural and minimally processed ingredients. In addition, the district says The Lunch Master’s dietician and educational staff will work closely with the SCSD Wellness Committee and District Nurse to begin a comprehensive nutrition education program for all students.
A meal from The LunchMaster typically features a freshly prepared entrée, fruit, vegetable, healthy snack, and healthy beverage.
