Peninsula Man Arrested, Accused Of Raping Juvenile: SMC Sheriff's

The San Carlos man met the victim on an online dating site before raping the person twice, the SMC Sheriff's Department reported.

SAN CARLOS, CA — A San Carlos man was arrested on suspicion of raping a juvenile at his San Carlos home, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Department reported Wednesday.

Jeffrey Ramsden, 57, was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility following an extensive investigation conducted a month ago. He faces two felonies of sodomy and oral copulation, the sheriff's department added.

According to detectives, Ramsden used an online dating application to meet the juvenile then sexually assaulted the victim on two occasions in his private residence in San Carlos.
