This Long Awaited Affordable Housing Unit In San Mateo County Will Begin Construction
This project will turn a six-unit apartment complex into 33 multi-family homes.
SAN CARLOS, CA — Two housing organizations will host a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday that will commence the start of construction for an affordable-housing development in San Carlos, according to a press release.
Eden Housing and HIP Housing will present the groundbreaking from 10 a.m. to noon at 1232 Cherry St. to kick off the construction of a 33 multi-family unit housing complex known as Cherry Street Commons, which is intended for low-income families.
“I’m so happy to see reliable, experienced nonprofits with excellent architects together in our community,” said Kristen Clements, San Carlos Planning and Transportation Commission Members.
