Suspect In Shell Station Scuffle Sought By SMC Deputies
The SMC Sheriff's Dept. reported the man who remains at large tried to rob another man and pushed him to the ground.

SAN CARLOS, CA -- San Mateo County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a man who is being accused of trying to rob a man and pushed him to the ground at a Shell Gas Station in San Carlos on Monday night.
Deputies responded to a report of a fight at 10:28 p.m. to the gas station on the 500 block of El Camino Real and learned the suspect tried to grab the 65-year-old victim's bag. The victim, who is not an employee of the gas station, was able to hold onto the bag. Nothing was reported as taken.
Deputies were advised the suspect fled on foot heading westbound on Holly Street, but they were unable to find the suspect when they searched the area.

He is described as a Hispanic male, about 50 years old, standing 5-foot, 9-inches tall with a
heavyset build, dark short hair and a long, grey beard. He was wearing a dark jacket with a camouflage shirt underneath, brown shorts, white socks and dark shoes. The suspect had a green backpack and spoke Spanish.
If found, the suspect will be facing allegations of attempted robbery and battery.
