Brush Fire Breaks Out In San Clemente: Firefighters

Firefighters fought a brush fire by land and air that broke out in San Clemente over the weekend.

Multiple people reported the fire at around 12:20 p.m., which broke out east of Avenida La Pata and Calle Extremo near Richard T. Steed Memorial Park​ in the city's eastern limits.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — Firefighters quickly put of a vegetation fire that broke out in San Clemente Saturday afternoon, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

Multiple people reported the fire at around 12:20 p.m., which broke out east of Avenida La Pata and Calle Extremo near Richard T. Steed Memorial Park in the city's eastern limits, according to firefighters.

Crews from the OCFA and Camp Pendleton battled the fire from the ground and air and stopped its spread to just over a half acre, according to firefighters.

No structures were threatened and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
