CRIME REPORTS: Homeless Dreams, Bees in Trees

At 12:53 a.m. Friday, a worker at the restaurant in the 500 block of Avenida Pico reported a transient man who refused to leave or order anything. He was standing around just talking about his dreams, the informant said.

At 11:24 p.m. Thursday, deputies stopped a pedestrian at South El Camino Real and San Luis Rey. They arrested him on a $15,000 warrant for destroying a cellular antenna.

At 10:38 p.m. Thursday, a taxi owner from Long Beach called police about a driver who refused to return his taxi. Police told him it was a civil matter.

At 9:41 p.m. Thursday on Finca, a man reported he was assaulted by a neighbor who hit him with his keys. The caller refused medical attention.

At 7:22 p.m. Thursday, a caller from Via Armilla reported a beehive had fallen out of the tree and asked for a beekeeper to take care of it.

At 2:43 a.m. Thursday,  a caller from the 100 block of Coronado Lane reported a strange man passed out in the caller's garage.

At 10:13 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from the 200 block of Calle Seville reported five boys with their faces covered by cloth prowling around behind bushes and cars and sitting on the roof.

At 7:50 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from the business on the 600 block of Camino De Los Mares reported a guy in red flannel sitting on the curb. He had just finished smoking dope in the bathroom, which is an ongoing problem with this guy, the caller said.

At 3:56 p.m. Tuesday, police arrested a 42-year-old man in the 800 block of El Camino Real. The man was drunk and had tried to run off with alcohol from a store.

At 1:02 a.m. Tuesday, police arrested a 23-year-old woman on a warrant behind the Carmelo Motel on the 800 block of South El Camino Real. The charges on her $15,000 warrant included possession of drugs with no prescription, driving on a suspended license and driving with no headlamps.
