Emergency Siren Vandalized

From the city of San Clemente: An emergency siren that is part of the Community Alert Siren System in San Clemente was vandalized. The siren number SC01 is located at the City of San Clemente’s water reservoir off of Calle Andalucia. Southern California Edison (SCE) discovered the vandalism at the siren on Thursday, May 16, 2013, and though minor damage was done, the siren remains functional and was never offline. The San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS) reported the incident to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
