Marrios Barrios, guitarist in the foursome, describes the band’s sound as “psychedelic soul.”
“It mixes a lot of weird with the groove,” he said. “Our generation pretty much grew up listening to everything from the ‘60s up—it’s just like a big splatter of everything … like a painting.”

He said there is really no one songwriter; for instance, Barrios will write a melody and vocalist Amy Goldenberg will write the lyrics.
Cameron Allen, the drummer, has been with the band for the 18 months it's been together, but Keepers just acquired bassist Riley Brown three months ago.
The Keepers have played around Orange County at venues such as La Cave in Costa Mesa, Coconuts in Capo Beach, the Continental Room in Fullerton, a Laguna Beach vintage store called Trashpretty and “weird art galleries,” Barrios said.
The show starts at 9:30 p.m.—there is no cover, and the Danube offers killer drink specials. It’s a great way to spend a Friday—plus, there will be a special appearance by . (That’s me, so act excited.)
