Patch's Sonic OC Hosts the Ryzing at Blue Danube Friday
Patch in Orange County's live-music partnership booked this young trio that blasts audiences with stripped-down, energetic, bluesy rock.
The Ryzing, a stripped-down alt-rock trio that has been playing at venues around South County for the last several months, will be the latest band playing at the Patch-hosted Friday concerts.
Patch’s Sonic OC music video features that run every Sunday on our 12 Orange County Patches highlight local bands, musicians and musical groups.
Patch and the Blue Danube, the classy restaurant-bar in Old City Plaza, decided to team up to offer live music another venue in town to continue to foster the local scene.

The Blue Danube is owned by Chris Toufanpour, himself a formidable pianist classically trained in Vienna.
And because the Blue Danube hosts live music nearly every night of the week—from classically trained instrumentalists, to rock bands to dubstep and house DJs—we decided we could hardly ask for better venue with which to partner.

The Ryzing is made up of Nick Terrafranca on vocals and guitar, Jason Abadie on drums and new addition Eden Robby on bass.
The Ryzing’s sound is inspired by the Black Keys and bands like it.
“The Black Keys became really popular in the past couple years,” said Terrafranca, who is studying audio engineering at “I try to listen to them over and over again. Why do people like this? What are the things they are accomplishing that make people like their music? And I try to put that in my music.”
The Ryzing, between gigs at O.C. bars and restaurants such as,Chain Reaction in Anaheim, the and the Wind and Sea in Dana Point, are in the recording studio.
Terrafranca said to expect an EP by the end of July.
The show starts at 9:30 p.m. Friday. The drink prices are killer: $2 domestic beers, $3 imports, $3 margaritas $4 wine and well drinks and $5 martinis. Come early for dinner.
