UPDATE: Pico/Camino Real Construction Now Slated for May 31 Completion

A city document says changes to the project pushed the finish date back two months and added $83,555 to the price tag.

The San Clemente City Council Tuesday approved an $83,555 contract extension for the work going on at the Pico Avenue/El Camino Real intersection in North Beach.

The work is scheduled for completion May 31.

The project was scheduled for completion March 30 when the council approved it in September, but city documents say some changes to sidewalks and sewer mains, as well as the signal at Avenida Estacion and Camino Real and some other adjustments, were added after the project was initially improved.
