Plein Air Painting Competition Kicks off This Weekend

Dozens of artists will gather Saturday to paint images of San Clemente on canvas to kick off theplein air competition.

Artists will gather at the San Clemente Community Center for the “quick draw” competition from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to paint still life, models or anything on Avenida Del Mar to the Pier Bowl.

Quick draw awards will be presented during a 4:30 p.m. event at the Community Center, catered with wine and cheese.
