SONIC SAN CLEMENTE: Mariachi Capistrano
Mariachi Capistrano, part of a nonprofit in San Juan Capistrano that imparts mariachi skills into youngsters, will be playing live in San Clemente at El Mariachi.
San Clemente Patch caught these young mariachis at J. Serra Catholic High School, where they practice.
This group of nine skilled musicians—Mariachi Capistrano—is part of the larger Capistrano Community Mariachi Program, a nonprofit group of dozens of kids and adults of all ages organized to pass on the tradition of mariachi music.
They're always looking for volunteers and donations—they've got to keep those spiffy uniforms in top shape.
