U.S. Rep. Calvert to Discuss Federal Cash with Council
Congressman will address beach restoration, quiet zone, reservoir and arts center.

U.S. Rep. Ken Calvert (R-Corona) will update city officials Wednesday about federal projects affecting the city, including a massive beach restoration plan—which that could be stymied by budget cuts—and other projects.
Calvert will meet with the San Clemente City Council  Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the city's 910 Calle Negocio offices.
The updates, which will include discussions of the Avenida Pico bike trail, a quiet zone that would hush train whistles in town, a reservoir project and the Performing Arts Center, will take up the entirety of the meeting.

At Tuesday (tonight's) 6 p.m. meeting in council chambers, the council will establish strategic goals for big, upcoming projects. The next meeting of the San Clemente City Council will be in the at 6 p.m. March 1.
