Video Taken Next Door to Downtown San Clemente Shooting Captures Deputies' Approach

Teigue Thomas was on Avenida del Mar in front of Bliss Boutique when deputies responded to a call of shots fired on the busy downtown street.

Ultimately, they would discover two bodies inside Bliss Boutique, just feet away from Thomas. Deputies would later rule the incident a murder-suicide and identify the victims as the married owners of Bliss, John Patrick Dillard, 59 of San Clemente and Cynthia Jean Rosier, 64 of San Clemente.

But when deputies took to a bullhorn, Thomas couldn’t have known any of that.

“We were standing outside of Bliss when everything happened. When the police arrived they instructed everyone in the area to go inside, lock the doors and get on the ground,” she said.

She shot this video and shared with Patch.
