Applications available for Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee

Applications are available for residents interested in serving on the Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee, an advisory board to the City Council.

The committee, composed of at least five residents, is designed to include businesspeople, senior citizens and professionals in construction, finance, law and accounting. Members must be registered voters in San Juan Capistrano. City officials, employees, contractors and members of other City commissions or committees may not serve.

The Bond Oversight Committee reviews recommendations to the City Council for expenditures of bond proceeds and reports on whether they conform to the City's open-space ordinance passed in 2008. It also reviews audits and expenditure reports for bond proceeds and informs the public.
