Man's Foot Severed By Passing Freight Train
The man was reportedly lying on the tracks when the incident occurred.
A 25-year-old man had one foot severed and the other seriously injured by a passing freight train while he was lying on the tracks early Monday morning, the Orange County Register reports.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department responded around 1:25 a.m., and officials do not believe he was trying to commit suicide. The man is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital, where he is expected to survive.
