Plans For San Juan Capistrano Skatepark Near Completion
Designs for a new skatepark and trail connection project in San Juan Capistrano are complete and pending city council approval.
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — San Juan Capistrano residents, a new skatepark is coming your way. Designs for the city's skatepark and trail connection project were completed last week, and the San Juan Capistrano City Council will consider approving the project at Tuesday's meeting.
Elements of the skatepark and trail connection project include a 20,000 square-foot skatepark, public restroom, farm-themed play structure and new multi-use trail connecting Via Positiva to Camino Del Avion.
The site is located in the southwest corner of the city-owned Kinoshita Farm property, which is operated by The Ecology Center. It is adjacent to the Sports Park complex.

Once the project is approved by councilmembers, city officials said construction is slotted to begin by July 2022.
