2 Peninsula Retail Theft Suspects Arrested: Cops
The suspects were tied to an additional Peninsula retail theft incident, according to police.
PACIFICA, CA — Two retail theft suspects who were arrested in Pacifica on Thursday have been linked to a similar incident in another Peninsula city, authorities said.
Lourdes Castillanos, 30 of San Francisco was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and criminal conspiracy, and Leonidas Decastro, 52 of San Francisco, was arrested on suspicion of criminal conspiracy, the Pacifica Police Department said in a news release.
Officers at around 4:50 p.m. Thursday were dispatched to a retail business in the 700 block of Hickey Boulevard on the report of a theft in progress involving a female in the store and a male waiting outside the store for her, police said.

Responding officers contacted the male subject outside the business and detained the female suspect as she walked out of the store with stolen merchandise, police said.
The employee identified the female as the suspect and she was subsequently detained, police said.
“During the course of this investigation, it was determined that just prior to this incident, the same suspects had stolen merchandise from a different retail business on Gellert Blvd., in South San Francisco,” police said.

“The stolen merchandise from both thefts were recovered and returned.”
