Arizona Murder Suspect Arrested Boarding Flight at SFO

The suspect was trying to board a flight to Mexico City when he was arrested Friday.

A Mexican citizen wanted for murder in Arizona was arrested Friday as he attempted to board a flight from San Francisco to Mexico, border patrol agents said.

Margarito Gerardo Pimentel was identified as the suspect in a homicide in Pima County, Ariz. as he attempted to board a flight from San Francisco International Airport to Mexico City at about 11 p.m. Friday, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

He was taken into custody moments before he was able to board the flight, officials said.

He has been turned over to San Francisco police for processing and extradition to Arizona.
