Caltrain Delayed, Ball Game Train Canceled
Train schedules altered and passengers rerouted after a fatal collision in Burlingame.

Trains in both directions were stopped entirely today after a person was killed on the tracks at Peninsula Avenue in Burlingame earlier this afternoon, resulting in widespread delays and the cancellation of today’s train to the Giants game.
Train No. 147 struck and killed an unidentified man at 12:23 p.m., according to authorities. A Caltrain spokesperson said the train was stopped just north of the Bayswater Avenue crossing in Burlingame and about 900 passengers were being transferred to another train via a SamTrans bus. At that time, all of Caltrain’s trains had ceased running between San Mateo and Millbrae.
As a result, trains have resumed at a slower pace than usual as of 2 p.m. today, and some were canceled altogether. By the latest update, would be 24 minutes late, the southbound 150 would be 46 minutes late, and the southbound 154 would be 12 minutes late, according to Caltrain spokesperson Christine Dunn.
