PACIFICA, CA — A Pacifica home was deemed uninhabitable this week after a woman drove her car all the way through it, police reported Wednesday. The incident happened Monday afternoon in the 900 block of Crespi Drive.

Police said that around 2 p.m. that day, multiple people called to report the vehicle collision into a residence.

"Officers and personnel from the North County Fire Authority arrived and determined a vehicle had driven through this residence and had come to rest in the backyard," police said in a news release.

Witnesses quickly checked to see if anyone was hurt, but fortunately no one was inside the home when the 88-year-old Pacifica woman crashed, police said.

"Witnesses at the scene reported the vehicle was traveling north on Seville Drive towards the T-intersection at Crespi Drive at a high rate of speed," police said. "The vehicle continued through the intersection and into the front of the residence."
