Sheriff's officials say the first man's body was found in the dirt off Skyline Boulevard. A second person has since been found dead nearby.
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Law enforcement officials arrested a Pacifica man on suspicion of homicide late Tuesday after a second deadly stabbing off Skyline Boulevard was discovered just 25 hours after the first, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office reported. The 26-year-old man was identified as Malik Dosouqi, who is accused of murder.
The two homicides are being investigated for their possible connection, and the victims' names have now been released by the San Mateo County Coroner. The first victim was identified as Abdulmalek Nasher, 32, of Pacifica. The second victim has been identified as 31-year old John Sione Pekipaki.
The first deadly incident was discovered around 11:09 p.m. Monday by a deputy who found a man who had been fatally stabbed in a dirt area west of Skyline Boulevard and just north of Reids Roost Road, according to the San Mateo County sheriff's office.

After deputies returned to the scene late Tuesday night following the day's canvassing by two SWAT teams, tracking dogs, aircraft and a helicopter in hopes of finding a suspect where Nasher was found— they heard Pekipaki calling for help about 50 yards away at around 11:55 p.m., sheriff's deputies reported. He had been stabbed and died at the scene.
"Simultaneously, near the scene in this remote area, deputies saw a man fleeing the area, in a vehicle, who they believed to be the suspect," the sheriff's office said in a news release. "A deputy fired at the oncoming vehicle which was driving towards the victim and both deputies."

The suspect wasn't struck, but did drive off the roadway into a ditch, according to sheriff's officials. The suspect was taken into custody and is receiving medical care for a cut to his arm.
"Both homicides happened within close proximity of each other, and both victims died from multiple stab wounds," the sheriff's office said. "Investigators are actively looking into a connection between the two homicides."
Skyline Boulevard, also known as State Route 35, was closed both directions in the area of the investigation while detectives processed the crime scenes located close to the El Corte de Madera Open Space Preserve.
It has since reopened.
Anyone with information about the slayings or anything suspicious is asked to call the sheriff's office at 650-599-1536.
