Missing San Mateo Woman Found Safe After Four Days

The 28-year-old woman was in San Francisco attending a show at the Potrero Stage on Saturday afternoon.

SAN MATEO, CA — A San Mateo woman who went missing in San Francisco over the weekend was reported safe at home after four days.

The 28-year-old woman was in San Francisco with friends attending a show at the Potrero Stage on Saturday afternoon, but she couldn’t go in because she had forgotten her phone and wallet that contained her vaccination card, according to NBC Bay Area. She reportedly planned to meet her friends at the theater after the show, but never returned.

Christine Krolik, the vice mayor of the town of Hillsborough and an administrator of a Facebook search group organized to find the woman, said in an email to Patch that she “was found and returned home late Tuesday evening.”

In a post on the Facebook group, Krolik said that the woman became lost when trying to find her way back to the meeting place.

“She got frightened as it got dark, and instead of reaching out for help, avoided everyone,” Krolik wrote. “She finally saw someone with whom she is acquainted and approached them, and they drove her home.”
