Mountain Lion Seen Roaming Through San Mateo Neighborhood: VIDEO
The big cat did not appear to be acting aggressively, police said.
SAN MATEO, CA — A mountain lion was captured on home surveillance video over the weekend roaming through a Peninsula neighborhood, but authorities indicated the big cat sighting is no cause for alarm.
The animal was seen shortly before midnight Saturday walking in front of a residence in the 2600 block of Monterey Street, police said in a Facebook post the agency labeled “FYI Only.”
“The mountain lion casually strolled across the driveway and did not behave aggressively,” police said.
