Police Investigating Suspected Murder-Suicide In San Mateo
The case involves two elderly people, police say.

SAN MATEO, CA — Two people are dead in San Mateo in a suspected murder-suicide, police reported Wednesday evening. Police say the duo were found around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at a home in the 1400 block of Young Street when they went to conduct a welfare check.
"Upon entering the home, officers found the couple to be deceased and enacted the San Mateo County homicide protocol," police said in a news release. "At this time, the deaths appear to be an isolated incident contained to the home and detectives preliminarily believe it to be a murder-suicide."
San Mateo police said they are working with other area law enforcement agencies "to determine exactly what occurred."
