“She eventually pulled in front of the suspect’s vehicle, which angered the suspect.”

The women realized she was being followed when she exited at 3rd Avenue and noticed the suspect’s window halfway down as she was traveling eastbound on 3rd Avenue toward S. Norfolk Street, police said.

“Instead of the screaming match she feared, she heard a loud pop,” police said.

“The suspect shot at her vehicle. She checked her vehicle and saw a hole in her shattered rear driver’s side window.”

SMPD officers responded and launched an investigation that led to the suspect’s arrest.

“A description of the suspect, his vehicle, and hard work led to the quick identification of the suspect,” police said. “With the suspect identified, officers wrote a search warrant for the suspect’s vehicle and residence. SMPD executed the warrant and located the BB gun used to shoot the victim’s window.”
