Scaffolding Collapses In San Mateo, Part Of El Camino Real Closed

The road was reopened shortly before 5:30 p.m.

SAN MATEO, CA — Scaffolding collapsed from a building on El Camino Real in San Mateo, closing the road Monday morning in the southbound direction between 3rd Avenue and 5th Avenue.

Drivers were asked to find an alternate route around the area.

Elsewhere in San Mateo County, a portion of Highway 92 was closed, the town of Hillsborough reported "significant flooding" and several creeks were overflowing at the beaches. Pescadero Creek Road was partially flooded east of the bridge, according to Cal Fire CZU.
