Police said they found multiple stolen items in the suspect's car and home.
SAN MATEO, CA — Officers first became aware of three storage unit burglaries Wednesday in San Mateo but soon learned the suspect was likely responsible for several others over the last two weeks, police said.
Aaron Hassan, 44, of Union City, was arrested Thursday and charged with multiple crimes including burglary, police said.
On Wednesday, San Mateo Police Department Officers said they responded to a report that three storage units had been burglarized on the 2200 block of S. Delaware Street. Multiple people had called and told officers that many high valued tools, electronics, rare memorabilia, collectibles and firearms had been stolen, police said.

The case is ongoing and still an active investigation.
"This is a good time to remind you, if you own anything of value, please make it a point to keep serial numbers, descriptions/photos, values and the like. Regarding tools, mark them with some type of identifier as well. This all helps us when recovering items, as well as when it comes to returning them. This goes for whether you store these items at home, at your business, or off-premise at a storage unit," police said.
