​140-Pound Meth Bust Involved Marin Agency: Sheriff’s Office

The meth came from Southern California and was seized along with $40,000 in cash, authorities said.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — A local law enforcement agency was involved in a 140-pound methamphetamine bust.

Four suspects were arrested in connection with a 16-month probe of a large-scale distribution ring that involved the Marin and Sonoma County Sheriff’s Offices and the DEA, the San Francisco Field Division of the US Drug Enforcement Administration said Thursday.

Two Cloverdale men, Fernando Diaz, 22, and Samuel Cholula, 21, and two men from Santa Rosa, Christian Torres, 21, and Jesus Nunez-Camacho, Jr., 33, were arrested as a result of the investigation.

Law enforcement has seized approximately 140 pounds of meth destined for the Santa Rosa area, the DEA said. The meth came from Southern California and was seized along with $40,000 in cash.

Authorities began serving search and arrest warrants on Wednesday evening and throughout Thursday, the DEA said. The arrested men's cases will be handed over to the Sonoma County District Attorney's Office for charging.
