New Year’s Eve Comedy with Chad Opitz and Rodger Lizaola

Fox Family Productions will celebrate with its neighbors a year that saw the finals of its legendary annual event relocate to Marin by presenting two of its most hilarious alumni. Direct from Hollywood, Former Finalist Chad Opitz headlines the show. The outrageous Rodger Lizaola making a rare Bay Area appearance. There will also be an array of fast-rising Bay Area acts on the bill to complete three hours of side-splitting entertainment leading up to “Happy New Year!”

Chad Opitz is a staple of the San Francisco Bay Area comedy scene. He has a unique, varied style, mixing one-liners, short-story jokes, act-outs, and sometimes even songs.

He’s a past SF Comedy Competition finalist and has been invited to perform at San Francisco Sketchfest, 209 Comedy Fest in Boise, Altercation Comedy Festival in Austin, and B4UDie Festival in Alaska. He’s a regular guest on Doug Loves Movies podcast with Doug Benson.

He has opened for Tom Green, Christopher Titus, Bobcat Goldthwait, and many more.

Rodger Lizaola has been pretty awesome at telling jokes to complete strangers since 2003. Has played at some of the most prestigious venues and with some of the biggest comics in the country. Also, some dudes basement.

He has worked with some of the best comics in the business, such as Louis C.K., Mike Epps, Jimmy Dore, Theo Von , Donnell Rawlings, Andrew Schultz, Nikki Glazer, Russell Peters, and Paul Rodriguez. Also has performed with such musical acts as Good Charlotte, Black Eyed Peas, Rhianna, Pussycat Dolls, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Baby Bash, and the Backstreet Boys.

Recent champion of the Renton Comedy Competition. Where he won 100$, an “I love Renton” T-shirt, and the admiration of 47 strangers. Since then, he has gone on to be a two-time finalist in the San Francisco International Comedy Competition and a three-time finalist in the Seattle International Comedy Competition. Has performed for the Seattle Mariners at Spring Training, As well as an invitee to the Great American Comedy Festival. Rodger was a semi-finalist in the NBC/Universal Nationwide Talent Search. 2023 Winner of The Big Sky Comedy Festival.As well as performing at the Moon Tower Comedy Festival. Made his television debut by performing on the show Laughs on Fox & has appeared on ADD-TV on MTV2.
