A couple months ago during the City’s concrete replacement work on Bungalow Ave a shallow gas-line was hit. The gas line was found less than 1 foot under the roadway surface. Public Works engaged PG&E to address the issue by lowering the gas line. Typical lead times for PG&E work are between 6 months to 1 year out. However, PG&E’s team was able to swiftly assist the City by expediting the design and construction process. PG&E quickly began working on the gas-line Monday, March 7th and is anticipated to be completed in the next 2 weeks. The City’s contractor, Ghilotti Bros Inc., will be back on site during the following couple of weeks to complete the restoration of the concrete roadway.
