MILL VALLEY, CA — The home of a world-renowned film festival is getting into the music business.
The city of Mill Valley will host its inaugural Mill Valley Music Festival May 7.
The event will feature performances from Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, Lettuce, Liz Cooper, Los Amigos Invisibles and La Doña.

The one-day outdoor arts and culture event is presented by the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce.
The event will feature a multi-genre music mix along with gourmet food, drink and art.

“This all-ages gathering embraces the Bay Area’s rich diversity with eyes, ears and arms wide open. Arts and culture have long lived deep in the bones of our community,” the Mill Valley Chamber said in a statement announcing the event.
“Let’s celebrate it!”
Tickets for the event go on sale Feb. 18 at 10 a.m.
There’s no doubt that these past few years have been incredibly rough for all of us,” Mill Valley Chamber Director Jim Welte told The Marin Independent Journal.
“We can’t wait to celebrate the resilience of Mill Valley, Marin County, and the entire Bay Area, and the vital role the Bay plays in the vibrancy of the Golden State — all set to an amazing, day-long soundtrack of fantastic music and an abundance of incredible food, drink and art while spending an afternoon with your best friends and ones you’ve yet to meet.”
