Marin Announces Fireworks Ban
Concerns over 'historic-level disaster' cited amid heightened fire risk.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — Citing concerns over the potential for a “historic-level disaster,” Marin officials issued a statement Monday reminding the public that all fireworks are illegal in the North Bay county, and not just on the upcoming Fourth of July holiday weekend.
The county’s only legal fireworks will be held at the Marin County Fair each night from June 30 through July 4.
The Marin County Sheriff’s Office will have extra deputies on duty for enforcement over the holiday.
