MARIN COUNTY, CA — Marin motorists are bracing for major traffic delays this weekend.

The full two-lane closure of northbound U.S. Highway 101 from just north of the Robin Williams Tunnel (formerly known as the Waldo Tunnel) to the Rodeo Avenue off-ramp will start at 10 p.m. Friday and run through 7 a.m. Monday, Caltrans announced in a news release.

No on- or off-ramps will be closed.

The closure is expected to cause travel delays of up to an hour.

It was originally scheduled for the weekend of June 24.

Motorists are advised to consider alternative bridges, including the Richmond/San Rafael and Oakland/San Francisco Bay bridges, the agency said.

Messaging signs will be placed to assist motorists navigating the construction zone, Caltrans said.

"We ask that you please drive with caution within the construction zone,” Caltrans said.
