Marin Co. Town To Hold Spring Break Skate Minicamp

The Spring Break Skate Camp will be held next month at Fairfax Skate Park.

FAIRFAX, CA — Fairfax will hold a skateboarding minicamp over spring break, and there are still a few open spots left, town officials said.

The Spring Break Skate Camp is scheduled to be held April 4-8 from 10 a.m. to noon at Fairfax Skate Park.

The minicamp is tailored for beginner to intermediate level skates enrolled in grades K-8. The camp costs $150.

“Campers will be instructed in the basic fundamentals of skateboarding,” town officials said in a description of the camp on the town’s website.

“The primary focus will be to get kids comfortable riding and performing flat ground maneuvers, and small skate park obstacles.”

Helmets and pads a required, and the camp will adhere to COVID-19 protocols.

The camp will be led by instructor Steven Teijeiro, a Marin youth advocate.
