Marin Fire Crews Contain Lincoln Fire Near Highway 101

MARIN COUNTY, CA — Fire crews quickly contained vegetation fire in the area of northbound Highway 101 near Marin City, authorities said.

Just one northbound lane of Highway 101 south of Marin City was open, and shelter-in-place orders issued for residents in the Anchorage Apartments in Sausalito were lifted as of 3:58 p.m., the Marin County Sheriff's Office said in its final update.

All northbound traffic on Highway 101 were initially closed south of Marin City after Sheriff's Office first reported the blaze in a 3:05 p.m. tweet.

Authorities are calling the blaze the Lincoln fire.
