Marin Grand Theft Suspect Arrested
The theft of an e-bike valued at over $2,000 triggered a probe that led to the suspect's arrest, Novato police said.
NOVATO, CA — A Novato man was arrested in connection with the theft of a $2,000 e-bike late last month, police said.
Alex Hernandez, 34, was arrested on suspicion of grand theft, burglary, possession of burglary tools, and possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia, the Novato Police Department said.
Officers who at around 4:30 p.m. May 31 responded to the report of a burglary involving the e-bike identified Hernandez from surveillance video, police said.

Hernandez was found in possession of the stolen bike shortly afterward when the Marin County Coordination of Probation Enforcement team contacted him in the 100 block of Cielo Lane at the time of his arrest, police said.
